Santa Came to Town!

Ok, sorry this post is so late, but I have been in a fog for the last week or so, still trying to find my routine after all the craziness of the holidays. But I had to complete my story on how we prepared for Santa and what happened when he came.

We headed up to my grandparents house and had the 'Stevens's Family Christmas Eve Taco Night' but we were late getting there so we ate with my Aunt Becki and new baby Piper at the table while everyone else was either back home or flopped in the living room next to us watching Harry Potter, classic. (Sorry no pictures.)

Then we rushed home and saw a train and Zoe about fell out of her car seat she was so excited because that HAD to be the Polar Express! We got home around 9:00 and tucked the little man in bed, but Zoe stayed up with me to make Santa's cookies as we didn't have time to make them during the day.
We first had to roll the dough, and Zoe kept taking chunks of bites out of the dough to eat.
Then pose for daddy taking the picture. I look like I'm smothering her with my ample boozum, but hey, what can you do?
Then frost them, which was such a mess that I couldn't bring myself to take a picture of.
Then pose again as she sampled some of her hard work before promptly getting her jammies on and trying her hardest to fall asleep.
This is what our tree looked like before Santa got there. Note the emptiness underneath. Have to do that with nimble and stealthy fingers around... and the not so stealth. Had to re-wrap one present and then I put them all up that very second. Any hoo, moving on.
This is what it looked like after Santa came.
We missed the look on her face at first as climbed out of bed and had to peruse through everything and came running in with the dinosaurs I made for both of them. But this was the pinnacle moment for her. Santa left her the gift she had talked about for months. Her Mudgy doll. She was almost too excited to open up all the other gifts she had... almost. Lol
And Cooper was just happy to be out of bed and have a bottle. Such a good boy!
Then later we had my mom and Jeremy's parents over for dinner, which was fabulous. After that we took some black mail pictures of Cooper for when he is older, but he just looks so happy about it right now! Do you think he will have the same reaction when he's 16?

Hope you all had a very Happy Holiday!
