WHAT HAPPENED?!

Cooper has been such a delightful child. He is so incredibly laid back and only cries when he is hungry or tired. But lately.... WHERE DID MY SWEET BOY GO?!!!!! Here is an example of my days as of late:

*7:00am -Hear Cooper on the monitor talking and laughing (usually how he wakes up, but it used to be at 9:00am!)
*Get up, get changed and have breakfast. All seems well and happy.
* Sweep copious amounts of Cheerios up off the floor. Its a wonder he ate any as there seems to be more on the floor than in the entire box!
*Once he is done and cleaned up I let him down. It reminds me of the preview for "Clash of the Titans," RELEASE THE CRAGON!
*Zoe leaves the door open to the bathroom, Cooper mossies in and lifts toilet lid up and proceeds to play in the water. Now, have I mentioned that the reason Zoe left the door open is because she has gone to the bathroom and forgot to flush? Well, there you have it.
*Strip Cooper down and give him a bath.
*Get him out of the bath, close ALL doors behind me, get him dressed. He then mossies into the kitchen and opens EVERY SINGLE DRAWER in there and flings all that he can onto the floor in a fit of joy and in record time.
*Clean up mess while somehow sprouting extra limbs and using what I have around me to keep the other drawers closed so I don't have to spend the whole day putting things away.
*Create barricade in the walkway of kitchen using stools and chairs. Listen to screaming.
* Send text message to husband saying, "If you don't want to come home to a wife in the closet and in the fetal position, then please get some latches for the kitchen drawers and possibly a gate for the walkway into kitchen. Thanks a bunch! Oh and bring home CHOCOLATE!!!!"
* Break up eye gauging match between the two determined children and separate for at least 37 seconds.
*Listen to screaming. From both.
*Play, wrestle, read stories (this is the best part of my day!)
* Lunch. Listen to Cooper cry as if he has never been fed before and is wasting away to nothing. Become short order chef as Cooper needs all things cut up, Zoe has to have this, Cooper won't eat that (which is a new thing for him as he usually eats EVERYTHING! Including lint off the floors.)
* Silence! At least for 3.2 minutes, which is long enough for each child to shovel an entire mouth full of food in their mouths and chug their beverage.
* Listen to screaming.
* Get cleaned up, sweep the copious amounts of food that was flung on the floor.
* Change Cooper's bottom. Hold Cooper down with my leg, as I somehow missed the special on acquiring an extra hand to hold down a 26lb wiggle worm. Listen to screaming.
* Nap. Silence!!!

The list just goes on and on! Now when I say "Listen to screaming" this is what I mean. Its not a scream, it is the kind of scream that I am sure all actors and actresses learned in acting class and have won them Oscars.

So, I ask again. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY SWEET, DELIGHTFUL BOY?!!!!!

  1. How funny, they sound like tons of fun! {okay not all fun, but mostly right?} Its good to know that Brinnley is doing all of the same things. Including the screaming, eye gouging, & eating pee-pee toilet paper... gross. You're such a good Mom :)
