What a glorious day it is today! The kids seem to be on the mend, the sun is shining, its warm but not too warm, there is a cool breeze out. Fantastic! As we have been locked up in the house for a few weeks, I opened up all the windows, stripped the beds, started on cleaning every inch of this house.... but it was all put to the side as the kids wanted to be out in the sunshine.
The most surprising event happened when I put Cooper on the ground. Normally, he puts his hand down on the ground and it shoots up like something bit him when he touched the ground. Not today, oh no. It was pedal to the metal today!
He decided to crawl on the grass but when he put his tummy down the grass tickled his tummy so he sucked in his tummy and got up on all fours like this.
He then decided to crawl like this, but it is so much faster for him to do his commando style crawl.
So he took a deep breath and crawled like the wind.
He went on quite the adventure and there was nothing holding him back.
Now that he's 8 months he:
*Gives kisses (well its more of an open mouthed face plant on your face)
*Has the army crawl down, and is slowly working on the hands and knees crawl
*Trying his hardest to pull himself up on everything.
*Sleeps through the night (has since he was 2 weeks, but while he was sick he didn't sleep much)
*Is at the point where if you are eating something he wants a piece too. I always have a piece of bread or a tortilla on my plate for such an occasion.
*Can eat an entire box of Cheerios in 3 days... he proved it in the last few days.
*Still the most laid back baby I have ever met. As long as he is fed, changed and well rested he is happy to do whatever, wherever.
*Has 5 teeth now, with another on the way.
Being a mom is the best job in the world!
